Rome 2: The Battle of Teutoburg Forest trailer

Or, among historian geeks, much better known as “Varus, give me back my legions!”. You see, poor old emperor Augustus was, after hearing from the demise of three Roman legions in Teutoburg forest in Germany, said to have been in a state of utter stupor for several weeks, oftentimes repeating “Varus, give me back my legions!”. Alas, Varus, the governor of Germany, has laid his money on a guy called Arminius (who was probably better known among his boyz as Hermann the German) who betrayed him and sided with his countrymen, who then proceeded to massacre the Roman legions in the dense forest where they laid a trap for their unsuspecting prey.

All this may or may not at all be interesting to you, but you will probably loves this trailer from Creative Assembly, depicting the battle at Teutoburg Forest and the annihilation of proud Roman eagles. Especially because you will soon be able to recreate it yourself in Rome 2!
