EVE Online Retribution coming winter 2012
The next expansion for EVE Online, Retribution, is coming this winter and is bringing quite some changes. And as always, not everyone will be happy about them, but with this 18th expansion and counting, only one thing in EVE is certain: change.
We will be looking closely at what the Retribution will be bringing this winter and keep you updated. So far, there are three outstanding features that we will be seeing. First off, there will be a lot of changes to frigate class, new destroyers and even a new mining frigate that will be perfect for fresh starting miners. There will also be some changes concerning textures and other features in sub-capital domain. Next is the new Bounty Hunting system, fully (re)created for Retribution as well as the new feature labeled Crimewatch, one that is enabling capsuleers to, presumably, easier identify bad EVE piwates and decide how to act in accordance with their “karma”!
Overall, it seems that this expansion is bringing Concord back, and it may result in greater security for the “carebears”, miners, traders, haulers and the rest of pacifists in EVE. But on the other hand, revised bounty hunter system where everyone can have a bounty set on their heads is a sure device for the rich, influential players to harass the newbies, miners, carebears and industrials “for the lulz”. We will see the full impact of the system within a couple of months, and then we will know more.
